I come from Germany. I did my masters at the Medical Proteome Center at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany. During my masters I focused on proteomic studies in a Parkinson’s disease related manner by using a cell-culture based model and LC-ESI-MS/MS-techniques to validate proteome-wide stress related changes. I finished my Masters in September 2014. As part of the IN-SENS program, my aim is to find and characterize DISC-1 related biomarkers in schizophrenia. Therefore I will use antigen and antibody based protein profiling techniques, to profile proteins in the pathways of DISC-1 as well as screen for novel autoantibody targets. Therefore, we utilize the affinity reagent resources within the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) for both antibodies as well as antigens for different targets to identify and characterize potential biomarkers.
